I guess I should start by saying that the Summer Infant Best View Handheld Color Video Monitor is a highly preferred baby monitor unit amongst Amazon users and users in general. First off, you’ll note that it has a simple design and yet small enough to be carried around. The video quality is of acceptable standards with precise real-time movements shown. No skips there, which is really good.

You need to know that the monitor switches interchangeably between black and white (during night) and color screen (in well-lit room). That’s a no-issue once you’ve figured it out. Great portability is probably another good reason to get this baby monitor. Before you do just that, I’d like to highlight some issues that other users have faced when using this Summer Infant Best View Handheld Color Video Monitor:
Issues You May Face
1. Volume and screen brightness seems to go hand-in-hand, which isn’t very helpful because you have to always turn on the monitor to adjust the volume. If only both activities can be done separately. I guess that’ll help to save battery, yes?
2. Not everyone stands the bright light on screen. After some time, it may seem slightly annoying to have bright light flashing at you (or your baby) all the time. Perhaps if the light brightness was toned down a notch, this would’ve been the perfect baby monitor unit.
