Philips Baby Monitors – All Reviews:
- Philips Avent DECT baby monitor – Best Baby Monitor
- Philips Avent Digital Video Baby Monitor
Philips baby monitors have always been favorites among parents – new and experienced alike. Recently, the good people at Philips came up with new improvements on their baby monitors. It was then they introduced the Philips Avent DECT Baby Monitor.
Ever since their debut, these Philips baby monitors have been graced as one of the highest rated audio monitors in the market.
Personally, I love that the sound produced by the DECT technology is crystal clear. You will be able to monitor your baby with no static interference. So, there will be no annoying noises to distract you from your work, or interfere with your child’s sleep. You can also set the sensitivity sensor so that you can here as much or as little as you want.
Philips baby monitors are portable so that you can carry the parents’ unit to where ever you are in the house. It will also enables you to have two-way communication with your baby through the parents’ unit. This comes in handy when you want to soothe your baby from his/ her cries by telling him/ her that you’re on your way to where they are. I know some parents who use their units to communicate with each other whenever either one cannot leave the nursery.
One feature of the mobile phone that I love is that you can always call your mobile when you’ve misplaced it. Well, with Philips baby monitors, you can just do that with its paging feature!
Phillips baby monitor reviews are again in favor of the new models and the Philips Avent DECT baby monitor is rated Best Baby Monitor.
What People Like About Philips Baby Monitors
Most Philips baby monitor reviews complimented on zero interference, and I can agree on that myself. Even if you place the baby monitor unit around the wireless devices like modems, wireless phones or speakers, there is no static and you can hear baby clearly. That is pretty good considering that many other baby monitors crackle and buzz like an angry bee. Reviewers also like Philips baby monitors because they are easy to set up, cover a good distance and have features like two-way chat which means that parent can soothe baby over the unit before getting to baby.
Best Baby Monitor – Philips Avent DECT baby monitor
With the DECT technology that utilizes the 1.9GHz frequency, you will never get any interference in monitoring your child. This Philips baby monitor also offers a coverage range of up to 1,082 feet. This means that you will always have full audio coverage enabling you to constantly monitor the sounds from the nursery while you are doing your chores around the house! The batteries are rechargeable batteries (which will need you to charge up for 8 hours) that will last for 24 hours of operations.
The Avent SCD520 has an additional digital screen that shows the temperature and other functions, and it is slightly more expensive than the Avent SCD510. With this baby monitor, you can ensure that your child have a night light all through the night and lullabies to soothe him/ her to sleep. These features can even be controlled from your parent’s unit. The unit also has temperature sensors that will alert you when the temperature in the nursery falls or rises outside the ideal preset range.
Other than that, the SCD520 and the SCD510 are the same. Read my review on the Philips Avent DECT baby monitor here.
